A durable solution for high-traffic spaces, our premium quality compact flooring is strong and impact resistant, with the lowest residual indentation of all our ranges. Versatile in any environment, it excels in withstanding wear from rolling and heavy objects. Easy to install and available in a wide variety of inspiring designs, it also offers hygienic and slip-resistant features.
Compact flooring offers high resistance to wear and impact thanks to its seven-layer construction:
Engineered for strength and long-term performance, compact flooring delivers reliable results in the most demanding environments where durability is essential.
A robust 0.70 mm wear layer combined with multiple functional layers protects the surface against daily abrasion. This construction ensures lasting performance and appearance retention, even in areas exposed to constant foot traffic.
Its multi-layered construction with a compact PVC backing helps absorb impact from dropped objects, reducing the risk of visible damage such as dents or cracks in busy, high-use spaces.
Reinforced with a glass fibre layer, the compact structure resists compression from heavy loads such as furniture and equipment. Once pressure is removed, the flooring quickly recovers its shape with minimal visible marking.
With a carefully engineered multi-layer construction, including a Hyperguard+® protective top layer and stabilising core, compact flooring is designed for continuous use. It maintains its appearance and performance even in the most heavily used environments.
For the 2026 Clerkenwell Design Week, interior architecture practice House of Interpretation transformed the reception area of Business Cube’s Farringdon co-work space in London into a multi-purpose reception, lounge and meeting point. For the entrance and walkway flooring, they chose IVC Commercial’s Elias T32 from the Iperform 70 range. The plank-free wood pattern of this compact flooring creates a refined veneer look, complementing the organic curves of the deep-pile carpet used to define the different areas. The light oak finish was selected to balance the carpet’s pale cream tones.
When you’re expecting 25 million visitors, only the toughest flooring will do. For their innovative, water-themed Belgian pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, the design studio Carré 7 chose Iperform 70 and Isafe 70, our heavy-duty compact flooring suitable for the most demanding, high-traffic areas. On behalf of clients BelExpo, they selected a variety of designs with the organic looks of concrete, stone, terrazzo and woven textile, in natural colours ranging from pale cream to dark grey.
The pavilion was required to be both temporary and sustainable, which meant every material had to be easily dismantled and re-used. Interior designer Aurore Dosogne remarked: ‘Unilin really won us over with its products, which were as attractive as they were sustainable and innovative'.
Our Iperform 70 collection is the ultimate choice for the most demanding areas, from classrooms to hospital corridors. In Medellin, Colombia, distributor Calypso put this high-performance flooring to an unusual use: the AI-inspired night club Hi, I’m SCI. Calypso regularly chooses Iperform 70 compact flooring for its extensive range of colours, and for the club they selected Pinnacles T90 to cover about 200 m2 of all-night dance floor.
